Next Up:  UsAirways Center Nov 8th.
Colten will be looking for his third win in a row.
Matt Dell returns to the cage.

Sept 27th - Prescott Arena
Colten and Omur competed for RITC.
Colten was first up and showed some good patience.  He worked a take down
and did some GnP on his opponent.  He then stood the fight back up.   His
opponent got a takedown and Colten worked an arm bar for the win.  He is on a 2
fight win streak.
Omur's opponent was undefeated.  Omur started slow.  His opponent won the first
round.  Omur turned it up in the second.  He rocked his opponent with a good
combo.  His opponent then took him down to survive.  Omur worked an arm bar
and his opponent defended.  He then took his opponents back and had the RNC
but the bell rang.
In the third his opponent threw a high kick.  His knee hit Omur and opened up a
cut on his eye.  The doctor stopped the fight.

Sept 13th - Ft McDowell - Bad Boy Boxing
Joel looked good in his first competition.  We had to work around a broken nose
so he wasn't able to open up his game.  He lost  a decision but looked good.
Eric made it to the finals.  He got knocked down in the first round but came on in
the second.  In the third his opponent was gassed and looking for a way out.  He
kept running and taking punishment from Eric.   The ref was on his way to stop the
match when the bell rang.   Somehow the judges gave the decision to his
opponent.   Even people working for the event told us he was robbed.

August 23rd Celebrity Theatre:
Josh's opponent was announced as 4-2 and outweighed Josh by 6 pounds.
Josh opened up with some wicked leg kicks.   His opponent shook his head and
acted like they did not hurt.   He tried to clinch with Josh and ate some strikes to
the head.   He eventually got a take down but Josh punished him from the bottom
so he let  him up.  Big Mistake.
Josh unleashed a head kick that sent his mouth piece flying out of the cage into
the 2nd row.   Josh started walking away as his opponent slumped into the cage.
The referee signaled him to continue as his opponent shook his head like it didn't
hurt.   So Josh unloaded a kick to the body,  right hook to the head, and another
head kick.   The ref finally stepped in and stopped it.   I will give his opponent
credit in that he can take a beating but he made the highlight reel for it.

July 26th - Tim's Toyota Center Arena in Prescott
Over 3000 people packed the arena.
Josh was first up.  His opponent did not want to stand with Josh.  He tried hard to
get the takedown.  Josh countered and punished him but he finally got the
takedown.  Josh unleashed some serious strikes from the bottom.   He then
swept his opponent and hit him at the same time.  His opponent flipped over and
was out cold.  KO for Josh.

Colten was up next.  He started with a flying knee and then tried to work a
guillotine.   His opponent got a takedown and Colten went for an armbar.  He was
pushed against the cage so he couldn't get it.  He created space and switched to
an inverted armbar.  Colten wins by tapout.

Sal was the co-main event.  His opponent came out throwing bombs.  Sal
countered and caught his opponent.   He was then pushed up against the cage
while his opponent went for a takedown.   His opponent was able to pick up Sal
for a huge slam.   In the meantime  Sal slipped in a guillotine choke and was able
to work it and tap out his opponent.   Sal wins by choke.

3 wins, 0 losses

JUNE 14th:  Bad Boy Boxing.
Wes, Alex, and Ricardo competed in the amateur boxing event.
Wes lost his first fight to a 290#'s of muscle.  Look for Wes to continue working
on conditioning and he will be back in a ring/cage in the future.

Alex won his first fight by TKO.  He was then in the finals.  He had a great couple
of rounds and got a little tired in the 3rd.   We thought he had it won.  It was a split
decision for the other guy.  He was robbed!

Ricardo won his first fight by decision.  2nd fight by TKO and in the finals his
opponent could not answer the bell for the 2nd round after being dropped twice in
the first.  Ricardo is the Light weight champion!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

APRIL 26th:  Shane O'Dell did great in his first boxing match at Bad Boy Boxing.  He
lost a close decision.   Great job by Shane, he will be back in the ring soon.

April 11th Celebrity Theatre:
3 Fighters competed.  We had JR and Omur as main event fights.
"Little: Sal started off the night.  He took his opponent down and dished out some
punishing ground and pound.  His opponent verbally quit after 2 minutes.  Sal wins!

Next up was JR.  His opponent was undefeated.  JR took him down to start.  Got reversed
mounted and gave up his back.   Didn't look good for JR.   Survived the round.   2nd/3rd
round.  JR took his opponent down and applied some devastating ground n pound.  His
opponent had no answer.   JR wins a unanimous decision!

Omur was up last as the main event.   The fight started and his opponent came out
swinging wild.  Omur was patient and was waiting for his opponent to gas.  He defended
a take down and dished out a couple of shots.   Suddenly the ref halted the fight.  Omur
had a cut on his eyebrow.   The Doctor checked it and stopped the fight.  (see picture
page for cut).  Omur was upset but nothing we could do.  He didn't get beat he got cut.

March 22nd at Ft McDowell Casino:
Bad Boy Boxing!   Ricardo Marquez and Eric Ogden thought they would give it a
try.   Both guys did great.  Ricardo won his first two fights and made it to the
finals.  He lost but did a great job in his first two fights.
Eric won his first two fights by TKO.   In the finals he was overpowered by a giant
270# athlete.   Good job by both guys.

MARCH 15th at Casa Grande for Rage in the Cage.
Alex was denied his fighters license because he is nearsighted.   He did not fight
but we are working on his appeal.

"Little" Sal made his fight debut.   His opponent took him down repeatedly but
could not pass his guard and did no damage to Sal.   Sal's cardio was on empty
after the first round so he was unable to be aggressive.    He is ready to go and
will be fighting again on April 11th.

Omur was the main event of the night.   He fought a local fighter with a lot of
experience.   His opponent hit hard but Omur has skill.   He weathered some
flurries and then opened up himself.   He sent his opponents mouthpiece flying
and almost had him KO'd but the bell saved him in the 1st round.    Omur turned it
up in the 2nd and landed some wicked body punches and a left to the head that
sent his opponent down to the canvas.    The ref stepped in and saved him from
serious injury.  Omur wins by big TKO!!

November 11th:  In Europe our Belgian "affiliates" Kim and Hyun will be
competing  in a European MMA tournament.   Hopefully we will have some
pictures/video to post.

Bad Boy Boxing:  Ricardo lost a tough decision in his first tournament of
champions fight.  Look for him to continue to improve and get back in the
    ring/cage next year.

Oct 13th at Cliff Castle Casino
JR defended his MW title belt.  He had a torn calf muscle for the past 2 weeks and    was
unable to run/cardio.   His opponent was coached by UFC/WEC fighter Jamie Varner.
The first round was back and forth.  JR controlled the action and should have won this
round.   In the 2nd JR found his range and rocked his opponent.   He was very close to
the KO.   His opponent was a striker but realized he would get put to sleep if he tried to
strike in the 3rd round.  He went for takedowns and
JR was unable to defend because of the torn calf.
It was an uneventful round with lots of back and
forth action on the ground.
The judges awarded a split decision to his
opponent.  JR proved he is one of the top
fighters in Arizona with this fight.   He will heal
up and be back in 2008.

You can watch JR win his MW belt.
It was featured on HDNet's Inside MMA
show with Bas Rutten.  It starts around the
16-17 minute mark.  Click on the link below!

    Sept 15th
JR wins the RITC Middleweight Title
JR started the fight with a high kick and slipped.  His opponent
jumped on him and tried a guillotine from guard.  JR countered
and picked up his opponent.  He then KO's him with a huge
    power slam.

Look for JR to defend his title on Oct 13th at Cliff Castle Casino.
Also Sal Azuela will be fighting UFC veteran Edwin Dewees on
the same card.  UPDATE-  Edwin has backed out of the fight.
We don't know if Sal will be fighting on the Oct. card!

July 22nd in Tucson at the Wildcat House:
We sent 3 fighters down to compete in a new promotion; Caged Supremacy.  This
event is promoted by Mollie Frye/Rhonda VerHalen (Mollie is Don Frye's wife).

JR was our first fighter up.  His opponent came out with 2 flags and make a big
spectacle of his entrance.  JR just stepped up into the cage.   He then quickly
showed his opponent the difference between being a man and a boy.  After about
10 seconds of feeling JR's relentless punishment he wanted nothing to do with him
and started running away.  JR then caught him with a kick to the body that
dropped him and then 2 right hands KO'd him.

Omur was up next and his opponent did not want to stand with him at all.  He got a
takedown and Omur worked some great defense on the ground.  He escaped a lot
of submission attempts and bad positions.  It was basically turned into a grappling
match by his opponent.  It went to the 2nd round and Omur got caught with a RNC
and had to tap.  He did a great job and hopefully his next opponent will show up to
    fight and not just grapple.

Matt was up next for the lightweight title fight.  Matt just never got going.  He
showed some good stand up defense but just never turned it on offensively.   It
was a frustrating fight for us.   Matt lost a decision.   Look for pictures soon.

    June 30th at Celebrity Theatre:
Omur Cor and Matt Dell both won their fights.  Omur stopped his opponent in the
3rd round with some punishing strikes.  Matt won a decision after his opponent fish
hooked him to escape a triangle.  The ref had no clue!
