JR controlled the action and should have won this round. In the 2nd JR found his range and rocked his opponent. He was very close to the KO. His opponent was a striker but realized he would get put to sleep if he tried to strike in the 3rd round. He went for takedowns and JR was unable to defend because of the torn calf. It was an uneventful round with lots of back and forth action on the ground. The judges awarded a split decision to his opponent. JR proved he is one of the top fighters in Arizona with this fight. He will heal up and be back in 2008.

JR just stepped up into the cage. He then quickly showed his opponent the difference between being a man and a boy. JR then caught him with a kick to the body that dropped him and then 2 right hands KO'd him. Omur was up next and his opponent did not want to stand with him at all. He got a takedown and Omur worked some great defense on the ground. He escaped a lot of submission attempts and bad positions. It was basically turned into a grappling match by his opponent. It went to the 2nd round and Omur got caught with a RNC and had to tap. He did a great job and hopefully his next opponent will show up to fight and not just grapple.
